     William Hall Gage, 2nd Viscount Gage of Castle Island was born on 1 January 1718.¹ He was the son of Thomas Gage, 1st Viscount Gage of Castle Island and Benedicta Maria Theresa Hall.¹ He married Elizabeth Gideon, daughter of Sampson Gideon, on 3 February 1757.¹ He died on 11 October 1791 at age 73, without surviving issue.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Seaford between 1744 and 1747.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Seaford between 1754 and 1780.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Gage of Castle Island, co. Kerry [I., 1720] on 21 December 1754.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Gage of Castlebar, co. Mayo [I., 1720] on 21 December 1754.² He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Gage, of Firley, co. Sussex [E., 1622] on 21 December 1754.¹ He was created 1st Baron Gage of High Meadow, co. Gloucester [Great Britain] on 1 November 1790, with a special remainder to his nephew, Henry.¹

     Sir James Dalrymple of Cousland, 1st Bt. was the son of James Dalrymple, 1st Viscount of Stair and Margaret Ross.^2,3 He married, firstly, Catherine Dundas, daughter of Sir James Dundas, Lord Arniston and Marion Boyd, on 2 January 1679.¹ He married, secondly, Esther Cunningham, daughter of John Cunningham of Enterkin, on 4 September 1691.¹ He married, thirdly, Jane Halkett on 7 September 1701.¹ He died in May 1719.¹
     He held the office of Principal Clerk of the Court of Session.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Dalrymple, of Cousland [Nova Scotia] on 28 April 1698.²

     Catherine Dundas was the daughter of Sir James Dundas, Lord Arniston and Marion Boyd.^2,1 She married Sir James Dalrymple of Cousland, 1st Bt., son of James Dalrymple, 1st Viscount of Stair and Margaret Ross, on 2 January 1679.² She died circa 14 January 1688/89.² She was buried on 17 January 1689.²
     Her married name became Dalrymple.

     Frances Yarde was born on 1 February 1803 at Madras, India.¹ She was the daughter of Major Henry Yarde and Elizabeth Lawson.¹ She married Robert Gibbings on 10 October 1823 at Fort St. George, Madras, India.¹ She died in 1877 at Wiltshire, England.¹
     From 10 October 1823, her married name became Gibbings.¹

     Esther Cunningham was the daughter of John Cunningham of Enterkin.¹ She married, firstly, James Fletcher of New Cranston before 1691.¹ She married, secondly, Sir James Dalrymple of Cousland, 1st Bt., son of James Dalrymple, 1st Viscount of Stair and Margaret Ross, on 4 September 1691.¹ She died circa 4 April 1700.¹ She was buried on 7 April 1700.¹
     From before 1691, her married name became Fletcher.¹ Her married name became Dalrymple.

     John Cunningham of Enterkin lived at Enterkin, Scotland^G.¹

     Jane Halkett married Sir James Dalrymple of Cousland, 1st Bt., son of James Dalrymple, 1st Viscount of Stair and Margaret Ross, on 7 September 1701.¹
     Her married name became Dalrymple.

     Sir John Dalrymple of Cousland, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir James Dalrymple of Cousland, 1st Bt. and Catherine Dundas.¹ He married, secondly, Sidney Sinclair, daughter of Sidney Sinclair of Stirkoke.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Fletcher, daughter of James Fletcher and Esther Cunningham, on 7 August 1702.¹ He died on 24 May 1743.¹
     He held the office of Principal Clerk of the Court of Session in 1708.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Dalrymple, of Cousland [N.S., 1698] in May 1719.²

     Elizabeth Fletcher was the daughter of James Fletcher and Esther Cunningham.¹ She married Sir John Dalrymple of Cousland, 2nd Bt., son of Sir James Dalrymple of Cousland, 1st Bt. and Catherine Dundas, on 7 August 1702.¹
     Her married name became Dalrymple.
