     Margaret Menzies was the daughter of Gilbert Menzies of Pitfoddels.¹ She married, secondly, Patrick Oliphant, 1st/6th Lord Oliphant, son of John Oliphant, Master of Oliphant and Lilias Gray.¹ She married, firstly, James Gordon of Lesmoir, younger, son of James Gordon and Helen Urquhart.¹ She died before December 1643.²
     Her married name became Gordon.¹ Her married name became Oliphant.¹

     Joan Margaret Heriot-Maitland was born on 14 April 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. James Dalgleish Heriot-Maitland and Mary Turner Scrymgeour-Wedderburn.² She died on 21 January 1995 at age 85.¹
     She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Argyll in 1960.¹

     Major John Campbell Heriot-Maitland was born on 21 January 1874.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland and Frances Lorne Mary Campbell.² He died on 28 October 1934 at age 60.¹
     He fought in the Boer War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain and Brevet Major in the Scots Guards.¹

     Jessie Stewart Hutchings was the daughter of Captain George Hutchings.¹ She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Sir James Makgill Heriot-Maitland, son of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish, on 4 October 1882.¹ She married, secondly, Prince unknown of Formosa on 14 December 1903.¹ She died in 1905.¹
     From 4 October 1882, her married name became Heriot-Maitland. From 14 December 1903, her married name became Formosa.¹

     Isabella Louisa Maitland-Heriot was born on 13 June 1828 at Kettle, Fife, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish.³ She married Captain Henry King, son of Hon. George King and Charlotte Tredcroft, on 20 November 1850.¹ She died on 15 April 1853 at age 24.¹
     From 20 November 1850, her married name became King.

     Captain Henry King was born on 30 June 1819.² He was the son of Hon. George King and Charlotte Tredcroft.² He married, firstly, Isabella Louisa Maitland-Heriot, daughter of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish, on 20 November 1850.¹ He married, secondly, Charlotte Palmer, daughter of Reverend George Palmer, on 11 September 1856.² He died in 1891.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Chithurst, Midhurst, Sussex, England^G.²

     Charlotte Mary Maitland-Heriot was born on 23 January 1832 at Kettle, Fife, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish.³ She married Frederick King, son of Hon. George King and Charlotte Tredcroft, on 25 April 1854.¹ She died on 14 August 1927 at age 95.¹
     From 25 April 1854, her married name became King.

     Frederick King was born on 13 June 1815 at Storrington, Sussex, England^G.^2,3 He was the son of Hon. George King and Charlotte Tredcroft.³ He married Charlotte Mary Maitland-Heriot, daughter of James Maitland-Heriot and Margaret Dalgleish, on 25 April 1854.¹ He died on 3 December 1893 at age 78.³
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 27th Foot.³ He lived at Fryern, Sussex, England^G.³

     Rear-Admiral Sir Frederick Lewis Maitland was born on 7 September 1777.^1,2 He was the son of Captain Hon. Frederick Lewis Maitland of Rankeillour and Margaret Dick.³ He was baptised on 11 September 1777 at Collessie, Fife, Scotland^G.² He married Catherine Conner, daughter of Daniel Conner, in April 1804.¹ He died on 30 December 1839 at age 62, without issue.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He lived at Lindores House, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Daniel Conner lived at Bally Bricken, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹
