     Captain Hon. Frederick Lewis Maitland of Rankeillour was born on 19 June 1730.2 He was the son of Charles Maitland, 6th Earl of Lauderdale and Lady Elizabeth Ogilvy.2 He married Margaret Dick, daughter of James Dick, on 27 August 1767.2 He died on 16 December 1786 at age 56.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     Margaret Dick was the daughter of James Dick.1 She married Captain Hon. Frederick Lewis Maitland of Rankeillour, son of Charles Maitland, 6th Earl of Lauderdale and Lady Elizabeth Ogilvy, on 27 August 1767.1 She died in April 1825.1
     Her name was legally changed to Margaret Maitland Makgill of Rankeillour.2 Her married name became Maitland.

     James Dick was born on 21 December 1726.2 He was the son of Reverend William Dick and Isabel Makgill of Rankeillour.2 He died in October 1750 at age 23.2
     He lived at Colluthie, Fife, ScotlandG.3 He gained the rank of Ensign in the Army.2
