     He succeeded as the 22nd Knight of Glin in 1775.1

     He succeeded as the 23rd Knight of Glin in 1781.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Glin Hussars.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Killfinane Light Dragoons.1 He re-built Glin Castle.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Glin Artillery.1
