Gerald Fitzgerald1 
He was a United Irishman.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1796 in the 11th Foot, when he was dismissed from the service.1 He was leader of the Limerick Insurgents in the Emmet Uprising in 1803.1 In 1803 he was reinstated in the Army.1 He lived at Ballydonoghue, County Limerick, IrelandG.1 He was author of a pamphlet on his dismissal and subsequent reinstatement.1
