     Sir George Grobham Howe, 1st Bt. was born circa 1627.1 He was the son of George Howe and Dorothy Clarke.1 He married Elizabeth Grimston, daughter of Sir Harbottle Grimston, 2nd Bt. and Mary Croke, in 1650.1 He died on 26 September 1676.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hindon between 1660 and 1676.1 He gained the title of 1st Baronet Howe, of Cold Barwick, Wiltshire on 20 June 1660.
