Brig.-Gen. Hon. Everard Humphrey Wyndham usually went by his middle name of Humphrey.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1919.2 He was Colonel of the Life Guards.2 He was AAG of the Northern Command between 1937 and 1940.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM George VI between 1938 and 1942.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1940 in the General Staff, War Office.2 He retired from the military in 1942.2
