     From 22 October 1891, her married name became Strange.¹

     Hon. Jacob John Astley was born on 5 March 1884.¹ He was the son of Sir George Manners Astley, 20th Lord Hastings and Hon. Elizabeth Evelyn Harbord.¹ He died on 26 September 1917 at age 33, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 16th Lancers.¹ He fought in the First World War, with the Sherwood Foresters.¹

     Hon. Charles Melton Astley was born on 5 May 1885.¹ He was the son of Sir George Manners Astley, 20th Lord Hastings and Hon. Elizabeth Evelyn Harbord.¹ He married Evelyn Vere Strover, daughter of General George Augustus Strover and Edith Oriana Dallas Tyndale, on 30 December 1914.¹ He died on 13 August 1960 at age 75.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Northumberland Yeomanry.¹

     Evelyn Vere Strover was born circa 1879.¹ She was the daughter of General George Augustus Strover and Edith Oriana Dallas Tyndale.^1,2 She married, firstly, Leonard Stevens before 1914.¹ She married, secondly, Hon. Charles Melton Astley, son of Sir George Manners Astley, 20th Lord Hastings and Hon. Elizabeth Evelyn Harbord, on 30 December 1914.¹ She died on 24 January 1969.¹
     From before 1914, her married name became Stevens.¹ From 30 December 1914, her married name became Astley.¹

     General George Augustus Strover was born on 8 October 1839.² He was the son of General Samuel Rogers Strover and Harriet Strover.² He was baptised on 10 November 1839 at St. Leonards, Streatham, Surrey, England.² He married Edith Oriana Dallas Tyndale, daughter of John Nash Tyndale and Charlotte Flora Hulme, in 1877 at Bath, Somerset, England.²
     He held the office of High Commissioner of Upper Burma.¹

     Leonard Stevens married Evelyn Vere Strover, daughter of General George Augustus Strover and Edith Oriana Dallas Tyndale, before 1914.¹ He died before 1914.¹

     Hope Shuttleworth Rendall is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Francis Holden Shuttleworth Rendall.¹ She married George Delaval Astley, son of Hon. Charles Melton Astley and Evelyn Vere Strover, on 17 January 1942.¹ She and George Delaval Astley were divorced in 1946.¹
     From 17 January 1942, her married name became Astley.¹
