     Mary Gordon was the daughter of Arthur Gordon.¹ She married Sir James Abercromby of Birkenbog, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Abercromby of Birkenbog, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Baird.² She died in 1742.³
     Her married name became Abercromby.⁴

     Arthur Gordon lived at Straloch^G.¹

     Sir Robert Abercromby of Birkenbog, 3rd Bt. was born between 1698 and 1706.² He was the son of Sir James Abercromby of Birkenbog, 2nd Bt. and Mary Gordon.¹ He married Helen Abercromby, daughter of Alexander Abercromby and Mary Duff, on 17 July 1739.^1,2 He died on 11 March 1787.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Abercromby, of Birkenbog, co. Banff [N.S., 1636] on 20 September 1734.¹

     Helen Abercromby was the daughter of Alexander Abercromby and Mary Duff.¹ She married Sir Robert Abercromby of Birkenbog, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Abercromby of Birkenbog, 2nd Bt. and Mary Gordon, on 17 July 1739.^1,2

     Major Ivar McIvor was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)²

     Sir George Abercromby of Birkenbog, 4th Bt. was baptised on 7 November 1750.^1,2 He was the son of Sir Robert Abercromby of Birkenbog, 3rd Bt. and Helen Abercromby.¹ He married Hon. Jane Ogilvy, daughter of Sir Alexander Ogilvy, 7th Lord Banff and Jean Nisbet, in 1778.¹ He died on 18 July 1831 at age 80.¹
     He was an Advocate [Scotland] on 4 December 1773.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Elginshire in 1783.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Nairnshire in 1783.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Abercromby, of Birkenbog, co. Banff [N.S., 1636] on 11 March 1787, and, from 1803, ‘of Forglen House, co. Banff.¹‘ He lived in 1803 at Forglen House, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Clerk for the admission of Notars in 1807.¹

     Hon. Jane Ogilvy was born circa 1750.³ She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ogilvy, 7th Lord Banff and Jean Nisbet.¹ She married Sir George Abercromby of Birkenbog, 4th Bt., son of Sir Robert Abercromby of Birkenbog, 3rd Bt. and Helen Abercromby, in 1778.¹ She died on 29 April 1838 at Forglen House, Banffshire, Scotland.³
     Her married name became Abercromby.

     Sir Alexander Ogilvy, 7th Lord Banff was the son of Alexander Ogilvy.² He married Jean Nisbet, daughter of William Nisbet of Dirleton, on 2 April 1749 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He died on 1 September 1771 at Forglen, Banffshire, Scotland^G.² His will was proven (by probate) on 19 March 1773.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ogilvie, of Forglen, co. Banff [S., 1701] in 1727.² He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Ogilvie [S., 1627] in November 1746.² He succeeded as the 7th Lord Banff [S., 1642] in November 1746.² His last will was dated 2 August 1766.

     William Ogilvy, 8th Lord Banff was the son of Sir Alexander Ogilvy, 7th Lord Banff and Jean Nisbet.² He died on 4 June 1803 at Forglen, Banffshire, Scotland^G, unmarried.^1,2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Ogilvie, of Forglen, co. Banff [S., 1701] on 1 September 1771.² He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Ogilvie [S., 1627] on 1 September 1771.² He succeeded as the 8th Lord Banff [S., 1642] on 1 September 1771.² He gained the rank of Cornet in 1773 in the Enniskillen (6th) Regiment of Dragoons.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1778.² He gained the rank of Captain in 1780.²
     On his death, the title Lord of Banff became dormant (and possibly extinct), and the estate of Forglen passed to the family of his sister, Jane.¹

     Sir George Samuel Abercromby of Birkenbog, 6th Bt. was born on 22 May 1824.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Abercromby of Birkenbog, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Stephenson Douglas.¹ He married Hon. Agnes Georgiana Browne, daughter of John Cavendish Browne, 3rd Baron Kilmaine and Elizabeth Lyon, on 12 June 1849.¹ He died on 14 November 1872 at age 48.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Abercromby, of Birkenbog, co. Banff [N.S., 1636] on 6 July 1855, and ‘of Forglen House, co. Banff.¹‘ He lived at Forglen House, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹
