     Patrick Murray was born in February 1685.1 He was the son of Sir Patrick Murray of Ochtertyre, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Haldane.2 He married, firstly, Anne Duncan, daughter of Alexander Duncan, 1st of Lundie and Anne Drummond, on 16 September 1709.1 He died in November 1773 at age 88.1
     He lived at Ayton, Berwickshire, Scotland.1

     Anne Duncan was baptised on 1 January 1691 at Dundee, Angus, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Alexander Duncan, 1st of Lundie and Anne Drummond.2 She married Patrick Murray, son of Sir Patrick Murray of Ochtertyre, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Haldane, on 16 September 1709.1 She died on 18 July 1773 at age 82.1
     From 16 September 1709, her married name became Murray.
