     John Desmond Grenville Fortescue was born on 24 March 1919.¹ He was the son of John Grenville Fortescue and Daphne Marjory Bourke.² He married, firstly, Nina Kendall-Lane, daughter of Ernest Kendall-Lane, on 21 September 1942.¹ He married, secondly, Angela Dorothy England in 1988 at Henley, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He died on 9 July 2017 at age 98.³
     John Desmond Grenville Fortescue usually went by his middle name of Desmond.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards, Reserve of Officers.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cornwall in 1963.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cornwall in 1964.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Cornwall between 1966 and 1967.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Stewardry, Boconnoc, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Nina Kendall-Lane was born on 26 November 1916.² She was the daughter of Ernest Kendall-Lane.¹ She married John Desmond Grenville Fortescue, son of John Grenville Fortescue and Daphne Marjory Bourke, on 21 September 1942.¹ She died on 13 March 1976 at age 59.¹ She was buried at Boconnoc Parish Church, Boconnoc, Cornwall, England.²
     From 21 September 1942, her married name became Fortescue.

     Anthony Desmond Grenville Fortescue was born on 7 February 1946.¹ He was the son of John Desmond Grenville Fortescue and Nina Kendall-Lane.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Ann Evered Poole, daughter of Major Campbell Evered Poole and Ethel Grace Anstey, in 1977 at Westminster, London, England.^1,3 He died on 9 November 2015 at age 69 at Boconnoc, Cornwall, England.⁴
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Penvose, Boconnoc, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Rosemary Sylvia Fortescue was born in 1920.¹ She is the daughter of John Grenville Fortescue and Daphne Marjory Bourke.² She married Douglas Frederick Thomas White, son of Frederick Thomas White, on 28 October 1944.¹
     From 28 October 1944, her married name became White. She lived in 2003 at The Manor, Berwick Bassett, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     June Diana Fortescue was born circa 1924.² She was the daughter of John Grenville Fortescue and Daphne Marjory Bourke.³ She married Derek Alastair Bigham, son of Captain Robert Alexander Bigham, on 23 August 1952.¹ She and Derek Alastair Bigham were divorced in 1983.¹ She died on 3 December 2015.²
     From 23 August 1952, her married name became Bigham. She lived in 2003 at Chalkestone House, Broad Hinton, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Theodore Oxford Raphael Hoste was born on 31 July 1819 at Lausanne, Switzerland^G.² He was the son of Captain Sir William Hoste, 1st Bt. and Lady Harriet Walpole.¹ He died in 1835 at Malta^G.¹

     Wyndham Horatio Nelson Hoste was born on 2 February 1825.¹ He was the son of Captain Sir William Hoste, 1st Bt. and Lady Harriet Walpole.¹

     Caroline Harriet Clementina Hoste is the daughter of Captain Sir William Hoste, 1st Bt. and Lady Harriet Walpole.¹

     Psyche Rose Elizabeth Hoste was born on 4 April 1822.² She was the daughter of Captain Sir William Hoste, 1st Bt. and Lady Harriet Walpole.¹ She was baptised on 28 April 1822 at Swaffham, Norfolk, England^G.² She died on 8 July 1904 at age 82.³ She was buried at German Evangelical Church, Meran, Italy.³
