     Ethel Mary Piercy was the daughter of Benjamin Piercy.1 She married Sir Robert William Buchanan Jardine of Castlemilk, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Jardine of Castlemilk, 1st Bt. and Margaret Seton Hamilton, on 4 July 1894.1 She died on 13 September 1952.1
     From 4 July 1894, her married name became Jardine. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

     Ursula Stawel was the daughter of Sir John Stawel and Ursula Austen.1 She married John Sheffield, 1st Duke of the County of Buckingham and of Normanby, son of Edmund Sheffield, 2nd Earl of Mulgrave and Lady Elizabeth Cranfield, on 18 March 1685/86 at Littlecote Chapel, Ramsbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 She died on 13 August 1697.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 10 September 1697.1
     From 18 March 1685/86, her married name became Sheffield.1 After her marriage, Ursula Stawel was styled as Countess of Mulgrave on 18 March 1695/96.

     Ralph Stawell, 1st Baron Stawell of Somerton was born circa 1641.2 He was the son of Sir John Stawel.1 He married, firstly, Anne Ryves, daughter of John Ryves, in 1667.2 He married, secondly, Abigail Pitt, daughter of William Pitt, on 2 July 1672.2 He died on 8 August 1689.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgwater in October 1679.2 He gained the title of 1st Baron Stawell of Somerton in 1683.

     Sir Charles Herbert Sheffield, 1st Bt. was born illegitimately in 1704.1 He was the son of John Sheffield, 1st Duke of the County of Buckingham and of Normanby and Frances Stewart.1 He married Margaret Diana Sabine, daughter of General Joseph Sabine, on 25 April 1741.2 He died on 5 September 1774.2
     He was given the name of Charles Herbert at birth.3 In 1721 his name was legally changed to Charles Herbert Sheffield under the terms of his father’s will.2 He inherited a large portion of the Sheffield lands, including the Normanby estate, Lincolnshire.2 He was created 1st Baronet Sheffield, of Normanby, co. Lincoln [Great Britain] on 1 March 1755.2
