Sir Charles Herbert Sheffield, 1st Bt.1 
He was given the name of Charles Herbert at birth.3 In 1721 his name was legally changed to Charles Herbert Sheffield under the terms of his father’s will.2 He inherited a large portion of the Sheffield lands, including the Normanby estate, Lincolnshire.2 He was created 1st Baronet Sheffield, of Normanby, co. Lincoln [Great Britain] on 1 March 1755.2
