     Hugh William Cairns was born on 27 January 1911.¹ He was the son of Hon. Douglas Halyburton Cairns and Lady Constance Anne Montagu Douglas Scott.² He married Diana Katherine Soames, daughter of Captain Arthur Granville Soames and Hope Mary Woodbine Parish, on 28 September 1939.¹ He died on 4 March 1996 at age 85 at Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland.³
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Cameron Highlanders.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.¹

     Mary Harriet MacNeile was the daughter of John MacNeile and Charlotte Lavinia Dallas.^2,3 She married Hugh MacCalmont Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns, son of William Cairns and Rosanna Johnston, on 9 May 1856.¹ She died on 29 October 1919.¹
     Her married name became Cairns. After her marriage, Mary Harriet MacNeile was styled as Baroness Cairns of Garmoyle on 27 February 1867. After her marriage, Mary Harriet MacNeile was styled as Countess Cairns on 27 September 1878.

     John MacNeile lived at Parkmount, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Hugh John Vaughan Campbell of Cawdor, 6th Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin was born on 6 September 1932.¹ He was the son of John Duncan Vaughan Campbell of Cawdor, 5th Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin and Wilma Mairi Vickers.² He married, firstly, Cathryn Hinde, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir William Robert Norris Hinde and Evelyn Muriel Wright, on 19 January 1956.¹ He and Cathryn Hinde were divorced in 1979.¹ He married, secondly, Angelica Gräfin Lazansky von Bukowa, daughter of Prokop Graf Lazansky von Bukowa, on 28 December 1979.¹ He died on 20 June 1993 at age 60.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Carmarthenshire in 1964.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Chartered Land Agents’ Society (F.L.A.S.)¹ He succeeded as the 6th Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1827] on 9 January 1970.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Emlyn, of Emlyn, co. Carmarthen [U.K., 1827] on 9 January 1970.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baron Cawdor of Castlemartin, co. Pembroke [G.B., 1796] on 9 January 1970.¹

     Hon. James Alexander Campbell was born on 21 July 1942.¹ He was the son of John Duncan Vaughan Campbell of Cawdor, 5th Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin and Wilma Mairi Vickers.² He married, firstly, Brigid Carol Dolben Lyons, daughter of Major Patrick Owen Lyons and Josephine Ann Mackworth, on 14 November 1964.¹ He and Brigid Carol Dolben Lyons were divorced in 1973. He married, secondly, Ann Elizabeth Gillmore, daughter of Colonel Argyle Henry Gillmore, in 1973.¹ He and Ann Elizabeth Gillmore were divorced in 1986. He died on 3 December 2019 at age 77.³

     Lady Caroline Mairi Campbell was born on 10 May 1930.¹ She is the daughter of John Duncan Vaughan Campbell of Cawdor, 5th Earl Cawdor of Castlemartin and Wilma Mairi Vickers.² She married Bernard Henry Hubert Baron von Friesen, son of Eduard Baron von Friesen, on 4 February 1953.¹
     Her married name became von Friesen.

     Elizabeth Harrod married Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Bt. on 1 January 1795.¹ She and Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Bt. were divorced in 1813 by Act of Parliament.¹
     Her married name became Chamberlain. She lived at Exeter, Devon, England^G.¹

     Anne Eugenia Morgan was the daughter of William Morgan.¹ She married Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Bt. on 5 June 1813.¹ She died on 28 December 1867.¹
