     Lady Victoria Alexandria Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 20 November 1844 at Dalkeith Castle^G.^2,3 She was the daughter of Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Charlotte Anne Thynne.¹ She married, firstly, Schomberg Henry Kerr, 9th Marquess of Lothian, son of John William Robert Kerr, 7th Marquess of Lothian and Lady Cecil Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, on 23 February 1865.¹ She married, secondly, Bertram Chetwynd Talbot, son of Rt. Hon. John Gilbert Talbot and Hon. Meriel Sarah Lyttelton, on 21 February 1903.¹ She died on 19 June 1938 at age 93.¹
     From 23 February 1865, her married name became Kerr. After her marriage, Lady Victoria Alexandria Montagu Douglas Scott was styled as Marchioness of Lothian on 6 July 1870. She gained the title of Dowager Marchioness of Lothian. From 21 February 1903, her married name became Talbot.

     Maj.-Gen. Lord Ralph Drury Kerr was born on 11 August 1837.¹ He was the son of John William Robert Kerr, 7th Marquess of Lothian and Lady Cecil Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot.¹ He married Lady Anne Fitzalan-Howard, daughter of Henry Granville Fitzalan-Howard, 14th Duke of Norfolk and Hon. Augusta Mary Mina Catherine Lyons, on 24 July 1878.¹ He died on 18 September 1916 at age 79.¹
     He was GOC of the Curragh troops between 1891 and 1906.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 10th Hussars.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Bertram Chetwynd Talbot was born on 27 April 1865.² He was the son of Rt. Hon. John Gilbert Talbot and Hon. Meriel Sarah Lyttelton.² He married Lady Victoria Alexandria Montagu Douglas Scott, daughter of Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Charlotte Anne Thynne, on 21 February 1903.¹ He died on 5 May 1936 at age 71.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Roxburghshire.² He was Clerk, House of Commons.²

     Lady Margaret Elizabeth Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 10 October 1846. She was the daughter of Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Charlotte Anne Thynne.¹ She married Donald Cameron of Lochiel, 24th Chief of Clan Cameron, son of Donald Cameron of Lochiel, 23rd Chief of Clan Cameron and Lady Vere Catherine Louisa Hobart, on 9 December 1875.¹ She died on 5 February 1918 at age 71.²
     Her married name became Cameron.

     Lady Mary Charlotte Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 6 August 1851. She was the daughter of Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Charlotte Anne Thynne.¹ She married Colonel Hon. Walter Rodolph Trefusis, son of Charles Rodolph Trefusis, 19th Lord Clinton and Lady Elizabeth Georgiana Kerr, on 24 July 1877.¹ She died on 13 December 1908 at age 57.¹
     Her married name became Trefusis.

     Colonel Lord Henry Francis Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 15 January 1868.¹ He was the son of William Henry Walter Montagu Douglas Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Louisa Jane Hamilton.¹ He died on 19 April 1945 at age 77, unmarried.¹
     He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was Colonel of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment) between 1907 and 1912.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches five times.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment.)¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of the Royal Company of Archers.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dumfries-shire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Roxburghshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berwickshire.¹

     Lt.-Col. Lord Francis George Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 1 November 1879.¹ He was the son of William Henry Walter Montagu Douglas Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Louisa Jane Hamilton.¹ He married Lady Eileen Nina Evelyn Sibell Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, daughter of Gilbert John Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 4th Earl of Minto and Lady Mary Caroline Grey, on 11 February 1915.¹ He died on 26 July 1952 at age 72.¹
     He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1905 and 1911.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1914.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He was an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council between 1932 and 1936.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1937.¹ He was an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council between 1937 and 1944.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1941 and 1945, with East African Forces, and was again mentioned in despatches.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Kenya]¹

     Lady Katharine Mary Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 25 March 1875.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Walter Montagu Douglas Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Louisa Jane Hamilton.¹ She married Brig.-Gen. Thomas Walter Brand, 3rd Viscount Hampden of Glynde, son of Henry Robert Brand, 2nd Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Susan Henrietta Cavendish, on 29 April 1899.¹ She died on 7 March 1951 at age 75.¹
     Her married name became Brand. After her marriage, Lady Katharine Mary Montagu Douglas Scott was styled as Viscountess Hampden of Glynde on 22 November 1906. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.²

     Lady Constance Anne Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 10 March 1877.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Walter Montagu Douglas Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Louisa Jane Hamilton.¹ She married Hon. Douglas Halyburton Cairns, son of Hugh MacCalmont Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns and Mary Harriet MacNeile, on 21 January 1908.¹ She died on 7 May 1970 at age 93.¹
     Her married name became Cairns.
