     Maria Brisbane was the daughter of Thomas Brisbane of Brisbane and Isabella Nicolson.^2,1 She married Hon. George Cranstoun, son of William Cranstoun, 5th Lord Cranstoun and Lady Jean Kerr.¹ She died on 27 October 1807.^1,3
     Her married name became Cranstoun.

     Henry Kerr Cranstoun was born circa 1756.² He was the son of Hon. George Cranstoun and Maria Brisbane.³ He married, firstly, Christiana Inglis Smart on 2 May 1775.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Ann Whitefoord, daughter of Major Sir John Whitefoord, 3rd Bt. and Anne Cartwright, on 3 October 1803 at Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,4 He died on 9 February 1843.^1,2
     He was with the Navy Pay Office.²

     Christiana Inglis Smart married Henry Kerr Cranstoun, son of Hon. George Cranstoun and Maria Brisbane, on 2 May 1775.¹
     From 2 May 1775, her married name became Cranstoun.

     Christiana Brisbane Cranstoun was born circa 1787.² She was the daughter of Henry Kerr Cranstoun and Christiana Inglis Smart.³ She married Thomas Metcalfe, son of Cornelius Metcalfe and Sarah Bayley.¹
     Her married name became Metcalfe.¹

     Thomas Metcalfe was born on 16 October 1781.² He was the son of Cornelius Metcalfe and Sarah Bayley.² He married Christiana Brisbane Cranstoun, daughter of Henry Kerr Cranstoun and Christiana Inglis Smart.¹

     George Cranstoun, Lord Corehouse was the son of Hon. George Cranstoun and Maria Brisbane.² He died in 1850, unmarried.¹
     He was a practising Advocate.¹ He entailed the Corehouse estate whereby it ultimately passed to his sister’s daughters then their brother’s sons.¹ He lived at Corehouse, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Sheriff-Depute of Sutherland between 1806 and 1817.³ He held the office of Dean of the Faculty of Advocates in 1823.³ He was styled as Lord Corehouse [Scottish Law Lord] in 1826.¹ He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] in 1826.¹
