John Blennerhassett1 
John Blennerhassett also went by the nick-name of ‘Black Jack’.1 He was one of eight Kerry gentlemen who supported King William III.1 On 1 March 1688/89 captured while trying to join Lord Kingston at Sligo with 200 others. They were imprisioned for 14 months at Galway, and then at Dublin, under sentence of death. He was released in 1690.2 He was believed to have begun a genealogical memoir of the family while a prisoner at Galway, completing it circa 1736.2 He lived at Castle Conway, Killorglin, County Kerry, IrelandG, jure matris.1
