     Sir William Wentworth, 4th Bt. was born on 29 October 1686 at York Minster, York, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir Mathew Wentworth, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Osbaldeston.2 He married Diana Blackett, daughter of Sir William Blackett, 1st Bt. and Julia Conyers, on 23 June 1720 at St. Paul’s Cathedral, The City, London, EnglandG. He died on 1 March 1763 at age 76.2
     He gained the title of 4th Baronet Wentworth, of Bretton Hall [E.]. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malton between 1731 and 1741.3
