Berkeley George Andrew Moynihan, 1st Baron Moynihan was born on 2 October 1865.1 He was the son of Andrew Moynihan, V.C. and Ellen Anne Parkin.3 He married Isabella Wellesley Jessop, daughter of Thomas Richard Jessop, on 17 April 1895.1 He died on 7 September 1936 at age 70 at Leeds North, Yorkshire, EnglandG.4
He was (an unknown value) at Royal Navy School, New Cross, London, England.1 He graduated from London University, London, England, in 1887 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)1 He graduated in 1889 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.S.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)1 He was awarded the MS Gold Medal in 1893.1 He wrote the book Abdominal Operations, published 1905.1 He was consulting surgeon in 1907 at Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.1 He was appointed Knight in 1912.1 He held the office of President of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1912.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916, with the BEF.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Major-General in 1917.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He was appointed Knight of Justice, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.J.St.J.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He was created 1st Baronet Moynihan, of Leeds, co. Ernest William Beckett, 2nd Baron Grimthorpe1 
Ernest William Beckett, 2nd Baron Grimthorpe was born on 25 November 1856.1 He was the son of William Beckett-Denison and Hon. Helen Duncombe.1 He married Lucy Lee, daughter of William Tracy Lee, on 4 October 1883.1 He died on 9 May 1917 at age 60.3
He was given the name of Ernest William Beckett-Denison at birth.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Whitby between 1885 and 1905.1 In 1886 his name was legally changed to Ernest William Beckett.1 He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the York Hussars.1 He gained the rank of DAG in the Imperial Yeomanry.1 He was senior partner of Beckett & Comapny, Leeds bankers.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Grimthorpe, of Grimthorpe, in the East Riding, co. York [U.K., 1886] on 29 April 1905.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Beckett, of Leeds, co. Yorks and Somerby Park, Gainsboorugh, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1813] on 29 April 1905.1
