     Reverend David Railton was born in 1884.¹ He was the son of George Scott Railton and Marianne Deborah Lydia Ellen Parkyn.¹ He married Ruby Marion Wilson.¹ He died on 30 June 1955 at Fort William, Inverness-shire, Scotland, after falling from teh overnight train from London.²
     He gained the rank of Chaplain in the British Army.² In 1916 he conceived the idea of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.²

     Charlotte Maria Whittaker was born on 17 March 1769.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Whittaker and Penelope Tempest.¹ She married John Rous, 1st Earl of Stradbroke, son of Sir John Rous, 5th Bt. and Judith Bedingfeld, on 23 February 1792 at 11 Manchester Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 15 January 1856 at age 86 at 33 Hertford Street, Mayfair, London, England^G.¹
     From 23 February 1792, her married name became Rous.¹ After her marriage, Charlotte Maria Whittaker was styled as Countess of Stradbroke on 18 July 1821.
