Rt. Hon. John Philpot Curran was born on 24 July 1750 at Newmarket, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He was the son of James Curran and Sarah Philpot.1,2 He married Sarah Creagh, daughter of Dr. Richard Creagh and Gertrude Armstead, in 1774.2 He died on 14 October 1817 at age 67 at London, EnglandG.2 He was buried on 4 November 1817 at Paddington Cemetery, London, EnglandG.2 He was buried in 1837 at Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.2
He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1771 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was admitted to Middle Temple on 4 November 1773.2 He was admitted to Irish Bar in 1775.2 He held the office of Master of the Rolls [Ireland] between 1806 and 1814.2
