He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Winnington, of Stanford Court, co. Worcester [G.B., 1755] on 4 March 1931.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1939 in the Welsh Guards.1
