     Walter Godfrey Phillimore, 2nd Baron Phillimore was born on 29 December 1879.² He was the son of Sir Walter George Francis Phillimore, 1st Baron Phillimore and Agnes Lushington.³ He married, firstly, Dorothy Barbara Haig, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Balfour Haig, 28th of Bemersyde and Hon. Frances Charlotte Harris, on 5 July 1905.² He married, secondly, Marion Ives, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Cecil Robert St. John Ives and Hon. Susan Ann Talbot, on 16 November 1923.² He died on 28 November 1947 at age 67.²
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1902 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1909 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He fought in the First World War, he was wounded and taken as a Prisoner of War (P.O.W.)² He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Oxfordshire.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Phillimore, of Shiplake, co. Oxford [U.K., 1918] on 13 March 1929.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Phillimore, of Shiplake, co. Oxford [U.K., 1881] on 13 March 1929.³

     Mary Hort was the daughter of Most Rev. Josiah Hort.² She married Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt., son of Balthazar John Cramer and Hon. Judith Butler, on 17 October 1754.¹ She died on 14 December 1815.¹
     From 17 October 1754, her married name became Cramer. From before 1778, her married name became Coghill.¹

     Sir John Coghill, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 February 1766.¹ He was the son of Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt. and Mary Hort.² He died on 21 May 1817 at age 51, unmarried.¹
     He was given the name of John Cramer at birth.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Coghill, of Coghill, co. York [G.B., 1778] on 8 March 1790.¹ On 7 June 1807 his name was legally changed to John Coghill by Royal Licence.¹

     Vice-Admiral Sir Josiah Coghill, 3rd Bt. was born in 1773.¹ He was the son of Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt. and Mary Hort.² He married, firstly, Sophia Dodson, daughter of John Dodson and Sarah Carey, on 31 August 1803.¹ He married, secondly, Anna Maria Bushe, daughter of Rt. Hon. Charles Kendal Bushe and Anne Crampton, on 27 January 1819.¹ He died on 20 June 1850.²
     He was given the name of Josiah Cramer at birth.¹ He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in the Royal Navy.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Coghill, of Coghill, co. York [G.B., 1778] on 21 May 1817.¹ On 7 June 1817 his name was legally changed to Josiah Coghill by Royal Licence.¹ He had one other daughter by his first wife.¹

     Sophia Cramer Coghill is the daughter of Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt. and Mary Hort.² She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles William Doyle, son of William Doyle and Cecilia Salvini, on 21 May 1802.^1,3
     From 21 May 1802, her married name became Doyle.

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles William Doyle was born in 1770.² He was the son of William Doyle and Cecilia Salvini.² He married, firstly, Sophia Cramer Coghill, daughter of Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt. and Mary Hort, on 21 May 1802.^3,4 He married, secondly, Sophia (?) on 21 April 1838.⁴ He died on 25 October 1842 at Paris, France.²
     He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)⁴ He was appointed Knight in 1814.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1814.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.) in 1819.² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.) in 1839.³

     Dorothy Barbara Haig was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Balfour Haig, 28th of Bemersyde and Hon. Frances Charlotte Harris.² She married Walter Godfrey Phillimore, 2nd Baron Phillimore, son of Sir Walter George Francis Phillimore, 1st Baron Phillimore and Agnes Lushington, on 5 July 1905.³ She died on 2 September 1915.³
     From 5 July 1905, her married name became Phillimore.¹

     John Dodson was born in 1742.² He married Sarah Carey.³
     He was given the name of James Dodson at birth.³
