     Edward Clinton, 5th Earl of Lincoln was the son of Edward Clinton, Lord Clinton and Lady Anne Holles.² He married Jeanne de Gulière, daughter of Pierre de Gulière, Seigneur de Verune, in 1674.¹ He died on 25 November 1692, without surviving issue.¹
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1661.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Lincoln [E., 1572] on 21 May 1667.¹ He succeeded as the 13th Lord Clinton [E., 1299] on 21 May 1667.¹ On his death, the barony of Clinton fell into abeyance between his aunts.¹

     Pierre de Gulière, Seigneur de Verune gained the title of Seigneur de Verune.¹

     Jeanne de Gulière was the daughter of Pierre de Gulière, Seigneur de Verune.² She married Edward Clinton, 5th Earl of Lincoln, son of Edward Clinton, Lord Clinton and Lady Anne Holles, in 1674.¹ She died on 25 August 1688, without issue.¹
     After her marriage, Jeanne de Gulière was styled as Countess of Lincoln in 1674. From 1674, her married name became Clinton.¹

     Elizabeth Garland was the daughter of Charles Tuller Garland.¹ She married, firstly, Count Jacques de Pret Roose on 7 July 1924.¹ She married, secondly, Charles Loraine Carlos Clarke, son of Charles Carlos Clarke, on 9 December 1936.¹ She married, thirdly, John Harvey Thursby, son of Reverend Harvey William Gustavus Thursby and Margaret Emily Mount, on 6 January 1949.¹ She died on 5 March 1973 at Nantes, Bretagne, France^G, killed in a DC-9 crash.¹
     From 7 July 1924, her married name became de Pret Roose.¹ From 9 December 1936, her married name became Carlos Clarke.¹ From 6 January 1949, her married name became Thursby.¹

     Robert de Vipont was the son of John de Vipont and Sybil de Ferrers.² He married Isabel fitz John, daughter of John fitz Geoffrey, Lord of Shere and Isabel le Bigod.² He died in 1264, from wounds received at either the Battle of Lewes or Evesham.²
     He lived at Brougham Castle, Westmorland, England^G.³ He held the office of Hereditary Sheriff of Westmorland.¹

     Lady Arabella Clinton is the daughter of Theophilus Clinton, 4th Earl of Lincoln and Bridget Fiennes.² She married Robert Rolle.¹
     Her married name became Rolle.

     Robert Rolle married Lady Arabella Clinton, daughter of Theophilus Clinton, 4th Earl of Lincoln and Bridget Fiennes.¹ He died in 1663.¹
     He lived at Hainton Satchville, Devon, England^G.¹

     Roger de Clifford, 2nd Lord Clifford was born on 21 January 1299/0.¹ He was the son of Robert de Clifford, 1st Lord Clifford and Maud de Clare.¹ He was also reported to have been born on 2 February 1299/0.² He died circa April 1322 at York, Yorkshire, England^G, executed, without issue.¹ An inquest post mortem was held for his on 12 February 1326/27.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Clifford [E., 1299] on 24 June 1314.¹ He fought in the Battle of Boroughbridge on 16 March 1321/22, where he was taken prisoner, after joining Thomas, Earl of Lancaster’s rebellion.¹

     Margaret Tuckfield was the daughter of unknown Tuckfield.¹ She married, firstly, Samuel Rolle, son of Robert Rolle and Lady Arabella Clinton.¹ She married, secondly, John Harris.¹ She died in 1754.¹
     Her married name became Harris.¹ Her married name became Rolle.

     John Fremont Melby married Hilda Marion Radcliffe Hordern, daughter of Radcliffe Hordern and Grace Harriet Nesbitt, on 25 January 1951.¹
     He lived at Bloomington, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.¹
