Sir William Twysden, 1st Bt.1 
He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 28 October 1584.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clitheroe in 1593.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Helston in 1601.2 He was appointed Knight on 11 May 1603 at Charter HouseG.3 He was created 1st Baronet Twysden, of East Peckham, co. Kent [England] on 29 June 1611.2 He collected manuscripts, and was learned in Hebrew and Greek.2
