Maria Helena Persse1 

Maria Helena Persse was the daughter of Robert Persse and Maria Wade.1 She married Denis Arthur Bingham, 3rd Baron Clanmorris of Newbrook, son of John Bingham, 1st Baron Clanmorris of Newbrook and Hon. Anna Maria Yelverton, on 1 May 1825.1 She died on 28 August 1899 at 2 Maze Hill Terrace, St. Leonard’s-on-Sea, Sussex, EnglandG.1
From 1 May 1825, her married name became Bingham.1 After her marriage, Maria Helena Persse was styled as Baroness Clanmorris of Newbrook on 3 June 1829.

He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW in 1940.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Queen’s Own Highlanders.1 He was commanding officer of the 1st Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders between 1959 and 1961.1 He was commanding officer of the 4th Battalion, King’s African Rifles between 1961 and 1962.1 He was commanding officer of the 1st Battalion, Uganda Rifles between 1962 and 1963.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1963.1 He was commanding officer of the 99th Gurkha Brigade between 1964 and 1966 on active service.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1966.1
