Sir William Watson Cheyne of Leagarth, 1st Bt. was born on 14 December 1852.1 He was the son of Andrew Cheyne.3 He married, firstly, Mary Emma Servanté, daughter of Reverend William Servanté, on 29 January 1887.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Smith, daughter of George Smith, on 12 December 1894.1 He died on 19 April 1932 at age 79.1
