Barbara Chiffinch was born in 1663.2 She was the daughter of William Chiffinch.1 She married Edward Villiers, 1st Earl of the Island of Jersey, son of Sir Edward Villiers and Lady Frances Howard, on 17 December 1681.1 She died before 13 December 1735.1
After her marriage, Barbara Chiffinch was styled as Viscountess Villiers of Dartford on 17 December 1681. From 17 December 1681, her married name became Villiers. After her marriage, Barbara Chiffinch was styled as Countess of the Island of Jersey on 13 October 1697.
