     Sir George Stirling, 6th of Keir and 3rd of Cawder was the son of Sir James Stirling and Anna Home.3 He married, firstly, Margaret Ross, daughter of James Ross, 6th Lord Ross of Halkhead and Margaret Scott, in 1630.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Napier, daughter of Archibald Napier, 1st Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Lady Margaret Graham, in 1637.1 He married, thirdly, Ann Nicolson, daughter of Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock, 1st Bt. and Isabel Henderson, in 1654.3 He married, fourthly, Lady Margaret Livingstone, daughter of Alexander Livingstone, 2nd Earl of Linlithgow and Lady Mary Douglas, in 1666.3 He died in 1667.3
     He was appointed Knight in 1662.1

     Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock, 3rd Bt. was born on 15 September 1649.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock, 2nd Bt. and Lady Margaret Livingstone.2 He married Jean Napier, daughter of Archibald Napier, 2nd Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Lady Elizabeth Erskine, in 1668.1 He died on 20 January 1670 at age 20.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Nicolson, of Carnock, co. Stirling [N.S., 1637] on 24 July 1664.1

     Archibald Napier, 2nd Lord Napier of Merchistoun was born circa 1625.2 He is the son of Archibald Napier, 1st Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Lady Margaret Graham.3,2 He married Lady Elizabeth Erskine, daughter of John Erskine, 20th/3rd Earl of Mar and Lady Jean Hay, between May 1641 and July 1641.2 He died on 4 September 1658.2
     He was a royalist in the Civil War.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Napier of Merchistoun [S., 1627] in November 1645.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Napier, of Merchistoun [N.S., 1627] in November 1645.2
