     He lived at Bonningtoun, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1 He styled himself as 5th Baronet Carmichael, of Bonnington, co. Lanark [N.S., 1676] on 16 July 1727.2
     On his death, his baornetcy, if it ever existed, became dormant or extinct.2

     Admiral Sir John Lockhart-Ross, 6th Bt. was born on 11 November 1721.3 He was the son of Sir James Lockhart, 2nd Bt. and Grizel Ross.3 He married Elizabeth Dundas, daughter of Rt. Hon. Robert Dundas of Arniston and Henrietta Carmichael, on 6 September 1762.1 He died on 9 June 1790 at age 68.
     He gained the title of 6th Baronet Lockhart [N.S., 1672].1

     From 2 September 1647, her married name became Lockhart.1 From 31 January 1652, her married name became Weir.1
