     Rosemary Payne is the daughter of R. Payne.¹ She married, firstly, unknown Lindholm before 1993.¹ She married, secondly, William Henry Gore, son of Paul Annesley Gore and Gillian Mary Allen-Stevens, in 1993.¹
     From before 1993, her married name became Lindholm.¹ From 1993, her married name became Gore.¹

     Sarah Douglas was the daughter of Major James Sholto Douglas and Sarah Dawes.² She married John Douglas, 7th Marquess of Queensberry, son of Sir William Douglas, 4th Bt. and Grace Johnstone, on 16 July 1817.¹ She died on 13 November 1864.¹
     Her married name became Douglas. After her marriage, Sarah Douglas was styled as Marchioness of Queensberry on 3 December 1837.

     Mary Bullock is the daughter of Reverend Richard Bullock.¹ She married Charles James Sholto Douglas, son of Sir John Douglas, 3rd Bt. and Christian Cuninghame.²
     Her married name became Douglas.²

     Reverend Richard Bullock held the office of Prebendary of Westminster. He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He was Chaplain in Ordinary to HM George II circa 1751.²

     Archibald William Douglas, 8th Marquess of Queensberry was born on 18 April 1818.¹ He was the son of John Douglas, 7th Marquess of Queensberry and Sarah Douglas.^1,3 He married Caroline Margaret Clayton, daughter of General Sir William Robert Clayton, 5th Bt. and Alice Hugh Massey O’Donnell, on 28 May 1840 at Gretna Green, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.³ He married Caroline Margaret Clayton, daughter of General Sir William Robert Clayton, 5th Bt. and Alice Hugh Massey O’Donnell, on 2 June 1840 at England.³ He died on 6 August 1858 at age 40 at Kinmount^G, killed by the accidental explosion of his gun while out hunting rabbits.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He retired from the military in 1844, with the rank of officer, late of the 2nd Life Guards.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumfries-shire between 1847 and 1856.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Dumfries-shire between 1850 and 1856.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1853.¹ He held the office of Comptroller of the Household between 1853 and 1856.³ He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Drumlanrig and Sanchar [S., 1681] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 8th Viscount of Nith, Torthorwald and Ross [S., 1681] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 10th Lord Douglas of Hawick and Tibberis [S., 1628] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 10th Viscount of Drumlanrig [S., 1628] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Queensberry [S., 1633] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 8th Lord Douglas of Kinmouth, Midlebie, and Dornock [S., 1681] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 8th Marquess of Queensberry [S., 1681] on 19 December 1856.³ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Douglas, of Kelhead [N.S., 1667] on 19 December 1856.³

     Caroline Margaret Clayton was the daughter of General Sir William Robert Clayton, 5th Bt. and Alice Hugh Massey O’Donnell.² She married Archibald William Douglas, 8th Marquess of Queensberry, son of John Douglas, 7th Marquess of Queensberry and Sarah Douglas, on 28 May 1840 at Gretna Green, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹ She married Archibald William Douglas, 8th Marquess of Queensberry, son of John Douglas, 7th Marquess of Queensberry and Sarah Douglas, on 2 June 1840 at England.² She died on 14 February 1904.¹
     Her married name became Douglas. After her marriage, Caroline Margaret Clayton was styled as Marchioness of Queensberry on 19 December 1856.

     General Sir William Robert Clayton, 5th Bt. was born on 28 August 1786 at Harleyford, Buckinghamshire, England^G.² He was the son of Sir William Clayton, 4th Bt. and Mary East.³ He married Alice Hugh Massey O’Donnell, daughter of Colonel Hugh O’Donnell and Alice Hutchinson, on 10 May 1817.¹ He and Alice Hugh Massey O’Donnell were divorced in 1830.² He died on 19 September 1866 at age 80 at Southsea, Hampshire, England^G.²
     He fought in the Battle of the Pyrenees.¹ He fought in the Battle of Genappe.¹ He fought in the Battle of Vittoria.¹ He fought in the Battle of Waterloo.¹ He fought in the Battle of Quatre Bras, where he was wounded.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Marlow between 1832 and 1842.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Clayton, of Marden, co. Surrey [G.B., 1732] on 26 January 1834.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1846.² He gained the rank of General in 1865.²
