He died on 20 March 1845 at age 70 at Buile Hill, Pendelton, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was buried at Ardwick Cemetery, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.1
     He lived in 1802 at Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Mayor of Manchester on 15 December 1838.1 He was appointed Knight on 1 July 1840.1
