     Nigel Patrick Bruce was born on 27 February 1905.¹ He was the son of Reverend Robert Douglas Bruce and Alice Margaret Lord.¹ He married Audrey Patricia Villiers Clarendon, daughter of Reverend Owen Samuel Edward Clarendon, on 1 August 1934.¹ He died on 12 March 1991 at age 86 at Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.²
