Lt.-Col. Sir John Paley Johnson, 6th Bt.1 
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.2 He fought in the Second World War in 1939, in Burma, Middle East and Italy.2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.3 He was Chief Land Instructor, Turkish Staff College between 1946 and 1949.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Johnson, of New York, in North America [G.B., 1755] on 15 April 1957.2 He retired from the military in 1960, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Artillery.2 He held the office of Member of the Kent County Council in 1965.2
