Edith Margaret Emily Ashcroft was born on 22 December 1907 at Croydon, Surrey, EnglandG.3 She was the daughter of William Worsley Ashcroft.1 She married, firstly, Sir Rupert Charles Hart-Davis, son of Richard Vaughan Hart-Davis and Sybil Mary Cooper, in 1929.4 She married, secondly, Theodore Komisarjevsky.3 She married, thirdly, Jeremy Nicholas Hutchinson, Baron Hutchinson of Lullington, son of St. John Hutchinson and Mary Barnes, in 1940.3 She and Jeremy Nicholas Hutchinson, Baron Hutchinson of Lullington were divorced in 1966.1 She died on 14 June 1991 at age 83.3
Edith Margaret Emily Ashcroft also went by the nick-name of Peggy.1 She was educated at Central School of Speech and Drama, London, EnglandG.3 She was an actress, on stage and in film and TV.3 She was awarded the BAFTA Award.3 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1956.3 She was awarded the Oscar circa 1985 for her role in A Passage to India.3 She has an extensive biographical entry in the The Times.3

Bedford [U.K., 1963] on 3 December 1976.2 He was appointed Honour Fellow, Institution of Civil Engineers (F.I.C.E.) in 2001.2 He lived in 2003 at Neals Farm, Wyfold, Berkshire, England.2
