     Catherine Russell also went by the nick-name of Katie.² From 26 April 1752, her married name became Hay.¹

     John Hay was the son of Andrew Hay and Mary Allardice.^1,2 He married Catherine Russell, daughter of John Russell and Marjory MacKintosh, on 26 April 1752 at Rathven^G.^1,2 He married Catherine Russell, daughter of John Russell and Marjory MacKintosh, on 30 April 1752 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland^G.² He died in 1785 at London, England^G, without issue.^3,2 He was buried at St. Bartholomew Church, London, England^G.²

     Andrew Hay was born circa 1690.² He was the son of Andrew Hay and Lilias Forbes.² He married, firstly, Ann Ogilvy, daughter of Hon. Sir Alexander Ogilvy, Lord Forglen and Mary Allardice, circa 1713.² He married, secondly, Mary Allardice, daughter of Sir George Allardice of Allardice and Lady Anna Ogilvy, on 23 December 1721.² He died on 1 December 1750.²
     He was Collector of Supply for Banffshire.² He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)² He lived at Mountblairy, Alvah, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹ He had two children by his first wife, both of whom died in infancy.²

     Margaret Calder was born circa 1714. She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Calder, 2nd Bt. and Christian Scott.¹ She married John Russell, son of Patrick Russell of Moncoffer and Catherine Campbell, in December 1739.¹ She married, secondly, James Shand, 1st of Craigellie, son of James Shand and Helen Leslie, in 1762. She died on 11 July 1770.
     From December 1739, her married name became Russell.¹ From 1762, her married name became Shand.

     Sir Thomas Calder, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 June 1682 at Muirton, Kinloss, Morayshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Sir James Calder, 1st Bt. and Grizel Innes.² He married Christian Scott, daughter of Sir John Scott, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bennet, on 7 December 1711 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He died circa January 1760 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He was buried on 31 January 1760 at Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Calder, of Muirton [in the parish of Kinloss, co. Moray] [N.S., 1686] in 1711.² In 1715 he was involved in the Uprising, and was imprisoned, although not attainted.²

     Christian Scott was born on 10 March 1688 at Ancrum, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of Sir John Scott, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bennet.^1,2 She married Sir Thomas Calder, 2nd Bt., son of Sir James Calder, 1st Bt. and Grizel Innes, on 7 December 1711 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² She died in 1743 at Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.² She was buried at Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.²
     From 7 December 1711, her married name became Calder.²

     Sir John Scott, 1st Bt. was the son of Patrick Scott of Ancrum.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Bennet, daughter of Sir William Bennet, 1st Bt.. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Scott, daughter of Francis Scott.³ He died in 1712.⁴
     He was created 1st Baronet Scott, of Ancrum, co. Roxburgh [Nova Scotia] on 27 October 1671.⁴
