     Patrick Duff of Craigston was born in 1655 at Craigston, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of Alexander Duff of Keithmore and Helen Grant.3 He married, firstly, Anne Innes, daughter of John Innes, 5th of Edingight and Isobel Hamilton, in 1687.3 He married, secondly, Mary Urquhart on 4 October 1701.2 He died on 3 August 1731.2
     He also has another two daughters by his second wife.2

     From 1687, her married name became Duff.

     Alexander Duff, 1st of Hatton was born on 5 January 1687/88 at Grange, Banffshire, ScotlandG.1 He was also reported to have been born on 1 January 1688 at Hatton, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Patrick Duff of Craigston and Anne Innes.1 He married Catherine Duff, daughter of William Duff and Helen Gordon, in 1709.1 He died on 27 December 1753 at age 65 at Keithmore, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1,2 He was buried at Auchterless Kirkyard, Auchterless, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2
