He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was director of Hand-in-Hand Fire Office between 1962 and 1982.3 He was chairman and managing director of Harris and Dixon (Underwriting Agencies) between 1976 and 1982.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire between 1978 and 1979.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Brownlow of Belton, co. Lincoln [G.B., 1776] on 28 July 1978.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.) in 1997.3 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 2000.4 He lived in 2003 at La Maison des Prés, St. Peter, Jersey, Channel IslandsG.4
