     Mary Heron was the daughter of Patrick Heron of Heron and Lady Elizabeth Cochrane.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Sir John Shaw Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 4th Bt., son of Sir William Maxwell of Springkell, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Stewart, on 4 January 1802.1 She died on 18 June 1856.1
     From 4 January 1802, her married name became Heron-Maxwell.

     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Maxwell, of Springkell [N.S., 1683] on 29 January 1830.1

Sir John Shaw Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 4th Bt. and Mary Heron.2 He married Charlotte Frances Burgoyne, daughter of Captain Frederick William Burgoyne, on 24 February 1834.1 He died on 4 April 1873 at age 63.1
     He was given the name of Michael Maxwell at birth.1 He was the Vicar at Heddon-on-the-Wall, Northumberland, England.1 In 1856 his name was legally changed to Michael Maxwell-Heron.1

     From 24 February 1834, her married name became Maxwell. From 1856, her married name became Maxwell-Heron.
