     William Cunninghame Graham Bontine was born on 22 April 1825.¹ He was the son of Robert Cunningham Cunninghame Graham, 8th of Gartmore and Frances Laura Spiers.¹ He married Hon. Anne Elizabeth Elphinstone-Fleeming, daughter of Admiral Hon. Charles Elphinstone-Fleeming and Doña Catalina Paulina Alesandro de Jiminez, on 12 June 1851 at Parish Church, Harbledown, Kent, England.² He died on 6 September 1883 at age 58.¹
