     John Gostwick was born in 1537.² He was the son of Edmund Gostwick and Anne Hardin.² He married Elizabeth Petre, daughter of Sir William Petre and Gertrude Tyrrell, before 1565.³ He died before 1582.³
     He lived at Willington, Derbyshire, England.⁴

     Elizabeth Petre was the daughter of Sir William Petre and Gertrude Tyrrell.^1,2 She married, firstly, John Gostwick, son of Edmund Gostwick and Anne Hardin, before 1565.³ She married, secondly, Edward Radcliffe, 6th Earl of Sussex, son of Sir Humphrey Radcliffe and Isabel Harvey, from 28 February 1581/82 to 16 August 1583.⁴
     From before 1565, her married name became Gostwick.³ From from 28 February 1581/82 to 16 August 1583, her married name became Radcliffe.

     Sir William Petre was born in 1500.³ He was the son of John Petre and Alice Colling.³ He married, firstly, Gertrude Tyrrell, daughter of Sir John Tyrrell and Anne Norris, in 1533.^4,5 He married, secondly, Anne Browne, daughter of William Browne and Lora Rochester, before 1543.⁵ He died on 15 January 1572.³
     He held the office of Secretary of State between 1543 and 1566.⁵ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)⁵ He lived at Ingatestone, Essex, England^G.¹

     Jane Owen was the daughter of Henry Owen.¹ She married Sir William Gostwick, 1st Bt., son of John Gostwick and Elizabeth Petre, circa 1587.^1,2 She died after 1615.¹
     From circa 1587, her married name became Gostwick.¹

     Henry Owen lived at Wotton, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Edward Gostwick, 2nd Bt. was born in 1588.¹ He was the son of Sir William Gostwick, 1st Bt. and Jane Owen.¹ He married Anne Wentworth, daughter of John Wentworth and Cicely Unton, on 2 April 1608 at Gosfield, Essex, England^G, in a clandestine marriage.¹ He died on 20 September 1630.¹ He was buried at Willington, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹
     He was appointed Knight on 3 May 1607 at Whitehall, London, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Gostwick, of Willington, co. Bedford [E., 1611] on 19 September 1615.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 1626/27.¹

     Anne Wentworth was born circa 1591.¹ She was the daughter of John Wentworth and Cicely Unton.¹ She married Sir Edward Gostwick, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Gostwick, 1st Bt. and Jane Owen, on 2 April 1608 at Gosfield, Essex, England^G, in a clandestine marriage.¹ She died on 6 July 1633.¹ Her will (dated 15 May 1633) was proven (by probate) on 8 July 1633.¹ She was buried at Willington, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹
     From 2 April 1608, her married name became Gostwick.¹

     Sir Thomas Gardner Horridge was born on 12 October 1857 at Great Lever, Lancashire, England.¹ He married Evelyn Emma Sandys, daughter of Melvill William Sandys and Emma Marshall Cardew, on 17 September 1901 at St. Kew, Bodmin, Cornwall, England.¹ He died on 25 July 1938 at age 80 at Hove, Sussex, England.¹
     He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1884.¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1901.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the East Division, manchester between 1906 and January 1910.¹ He held the office of Judge of the High Court of Justice, King’s Bench Division in 1910.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1910.¹ He held the office of Judge in Bankruptcy in 1913.¹

     Cicely Unton was born circa 1561.² She was the daughter of Sir Edward Unton and Lady Anne Seymour.^1,2 She married, secondly, Sir Edward Hoby, son of Sir Thomas Hoby and Elizabeth Cooke.² She married, firstly, John Wentworth in 1580.² She died in 1618.²
     Her married name became Hoby.² From 1580, her married name became Wentworth.²

     Robert Cunningham Cunninghame Graham, 8th of Gartmore was born on 14 September 1799.¹ He was the son of William Cunningham Cunninghame Graham, 7th of Gartmore and 16th of Ardoch and Anne Dickson.^1,2 He was baptised on 15 September 1799 at Menteith, Perthshire, Scotland.² He married Frances Laura Spiers, daughter of Archibald Spiers, 2nd of Elderslie and Hon. Margaret Dundas, on 1 July 1824 at Renfrew, Renfrewshire, Scotland.² He died on 23 January 1863 at age 63 at Leamington, Warwickshire, England.¹
     He was also known as Robert Cunningham Bontine Cunninghame Graham.²
