     Benjamin Bowlby was born on 2 November 1966.¹ He is the son of Sir Richard Peregrine Longstaff Bowlby, 3rd Bt. and Xenia Garrett.¹ He married Mylanna Sophia Colyer, daughter of Michael Case Colyer, in 1992.¹
     He was educated at King Alfred School, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 15 Highwood Avenue, London, England^G.¹

     Mylanna Sophia Colyer is the daughter of Michael Case Colyer.¹ She married Benjamin Bowlby, son of Sir Richard Peregrine Longstaff Bowlby, 3rd Bt. and Xenia Garrett, in 1992.¹
     From 1992, her married name became Bowlby.¹

     Michael Case Colyer lived at Harlech, Merionethshire, Wales^G.¹

     Roderick Peter Colyer Bowlby was born on 18 July 1996.¹ He is the son of Benjamin Bowlby and Mylanna Sophia Colyer.¹

     Sophia Bowlby was born in 1969.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Richard Peregrine Longstaff Bowlby, 3rd Bt. and Xenia Garrett.¹

     Thomas William Bowlby was born on 7 January 1818 at Gibraltar^G.^1,2 He was the son of Captain Thomas Bowlby and Williamina Martha Arnold Balfour.¹ He married Frances Marion Mein, daughter of Pulteney Mein, on 23 September 1848. He died on 22 September 1860 at age 42 at China^G, as a result of ill-treatment he received while a prisoner of the Tartar general, San-ko-lin-sin.² He was buried on 17 October 1860 at Russian Cemetery, An-tin Gate, Peking, China^G.²
     He was a correspondant for The Times in 1848 at Berlin, Germany^G.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     

     Captain Thomas Bowlby was born on 17 February 1790.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Bowlby and Eleanora Elizabeth Salvin.¹ He married, firstly, Williamina Martha Arnold Balfour, daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Balfour, on 1 February 1817.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Matilda Mein, daughter of Pulteney Mein, on 24 August 1835.¹ He died on 11 August 1842 at age 52.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He lived at Bishopwearmouth, County Durham, England^G.¹

     Reverend Thomas Bowlby was baptised on 27 September 1762 at St. Mary the Less, Durham, County Durham, England^G.² He was the son of Reverend Peter Bowlby and Elizabeth Russell.² He married Eleanora Elizabeth Salvin, daughter of Anthony Salvin and Anne Smith, on 3 March 1786.² He died on 28 January 1835 at age 72.¹
     He graduated from St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Rector at Tudhoe, County Durham, England^G.¹ He was the perpetual Curate at Painshaw, County Durham, England^G.¹

     Eleanora Elizabeth Salvin was baptised on 28 December 1760 at Croxdale^G. She was the daughter of Anthony Salvin and Anne Smith.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Bowlby, son of Reverend Peter Bowlby and Elizabeth Russell, on 3 March 1786.² She died on 15 August 1842 at age 81.¹
     From 3 March 1786, her married name became Bowlby.¹

     Anthony Salvin was the son of James Salvin of Sunderland Bridge and Ruth Kempe. He died in 1785.
     He lived at Sunderland Bridge House, County Durham, England^G.¹ Daughter of George Smith of Burnhall.
