Rev. Canon Henry Baker Tristram was born on 11 May 1822 at Eglingham, Northumberland, England.3 He was the son of Reverend Henry Baker Tristram and Charlotte Jocelyn Smith.3 He married Eleanor Mary Bowlby, daughter of Captain Peter Bowlby and Elizabeth Haslewood, on 5 February 1850.1 He died on 8 March 1906 at age 83.1
He was educated at Durham School, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He was Rector between 1849 and 1860 at Castle Eden, County Durham, England.3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1
