Peerage Record – 1690

     Laura Field was the daughter of George Field.¹ She married Robert Henry Bullock-Marsham, son of Reverend Robert Bullock-Marsham and Janet Dewar, on 26 January 1871.¹ She died on 25 July 1926.¹
     Her married name became Bullock-Marsham.

     Reverend Robert Bullock-Marsham was born on 17 June 1786.¹ He was the son of Rev. Hon. Jacob Marsham and Amelia Frances Bullock.² He married Janet Dewar, daughter of Maj.-Gen. David Dewar and Mary Cutler, on 27 March 1828 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He died on 27 December 1880 at age 94.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.)¹ He was Warden at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He lived at Caversfield, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Janet Dewar was born on 30 December 1793.³ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. David Dewar and Mary Cutler.^1,3 She married, firstly, Sir John Carmichael-Anstruther, 5th and 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Anstruther of that Ilk, 4th and 1st Bt. and Maria Isabella Brice, on 11 January 1817.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Robert Bullock-Marsham, son of Rev. Hon. Jacob Marsham and Amelia Frances Bullock, on 27 March 1828 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 11 February 1817.³ She died on 10 November 1881 at age 87 at Caversfield, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹
     From 11 January 1817, her married name became Carmichael-Anstruther. From 27 March 1828, her married name became Bullock-Marsham.

     Sir John Carmichael-Anstruther, 5th and 2nd Bt. was born on 1 June 1785 at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir John Anstruther of that Ilk, 4th and 1st Bt. and Maria Isabella Brice.¹ He was baptised on 1 July 1785 at St. George’s Church, Bloomsbury, London, England^G.¹ He married Janet Dewar, daughter of Maj.-Gen. David Dewar and Mary Cutler, on 11 January 1817.¹ He was also reported to have been married on 11 February 1817.² He died on 28 January 1818 at age 32.¹
     He was given the name of John Anstruther of that Ilk at birth.¹ He was educated between 1799 and 1802 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 21 October 1803.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1806.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1806 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Anstruther-Easter Burghs between 1811 and 1818.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Anstruther, of Fort William, Bengal [G.B., 1798] on 26 January 1811.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Anstruther, of Anstruther and of Elie House, co. Fife [N.S., 1700] on 26 January 1811, and from 1817 ‘of Carmichael and Westraw, co. Lanark.¹‘ On 18 April 1817 he inherited the estates of Carmichael and Westraw, Lanarkshire, on the death of his cousin, Andrew Carmichael, 6th Earl of Hyndford.¹ In 1817 his name was legally changed to John Carmichael-Anstruther.¹

     Charles Jacob Bullock-Marsham was born on 18 January 1829.¹ He was the son of Reverend Robert Bullock-Marsham and Janet Dewar.¹ He died in August 1901 at age 72, unmarried.¹
     He lived at Edgcott, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.¹

     Rev. Hon. Jacob Marsham was born on 28 February 1759.¹ He was the son of Robert Marsham, 2nd Baron of Romney and Priscilla Pym.¹ He married Amelia Frances Bullock, daughter of Joseph Bullock, on 28 June 1784.¹ He died on 28 January 1840 at age 80.¹
     He held the office of Canon of Windsor.¹ He held the office of Prebendary of Rochester and Wells.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)²

     Amelia Frances Bullock was the daughter of Joseph Bullock.¹ She married Rev. Hon. Jacob Marsham, son of Robert Marsham, 2nd Baron of Romney and Priscilla Pym, on 28 June 1784.¹ She died on 30 March 1836.¹
     Her married name became Marsham.

     Robert Marsham, 2nd Baron of Romney was born on 22 August 1712.¹ He was the son of Robert Marsham, 1st Baron of Romney and Elizabeth Shovell.¹ He married Priscilla Pym, daughter of Charles Pym, on 8 June 1742.¹ He died on 16 November 1793 at age 81.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was president of the Marine Society between 1756 and 1793.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1757.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1759 in the West Kent Militia.¹ He was president of the Society of Arts between 1761 and 1793.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1762.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Marsham, of Whorn’s Place, Cuxton, Kent [E., 1663] on 25 September 1782.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron of Romney, co. Kent [G.B., 1716] on 25 September 1782.¹

     Priscilla Pym was the daughter of Charles Pym.¹ She married Robert Marsham, 2nd Baron of Romney, son of Robert Marsham, 1st Baron of Romney and Elizabeth Shovell, on 8 June 1742.¹ She died on 27 February 1771.¹
     Her married name became Marsham.

     Robert Pym Mersham was born on 28 April 1743.¹ He was the son of Robert Marsham, 2nd Baron of Romney and Priscilla Pym.¹ He died on 28 November 1762 at age 19.¹
