     Sir Thomas Christopher Curwen was born circa 1485 at Workington Hall, Cumberland, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Christopher Curwen and Margaret Bellingham.¹ He married, secondly, Florence Wharton, daughter of Thomas Wharton and Agnes Warcop. He married Agnes Strickland, daughter of Sir Walter Strickland and Katherine Neville, circa 1512 at Workington, Cumberland, England^G.¹ He died in November 1543 at Workington Hall, Cumberland, England^G.¹

     John Rollo Barrett was born on 23 July 1918.^1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Rollo Samuel Barrett and Freda Ethel Louisa Wilson.¹ He married, firstly, Patricia Reay, daughter of Frank Reay.¹ He married, secondly, Diana Linda Younger.¹ He died on 12 June 2009 at age 90 at Northumberland, England^G.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW in Greece.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was a mining engineer.¹

     William Gascoigne was born circa 1398 at Gawthorpe, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of William Gascoigne and Joan Wyman.¹ He married Margaret Clarell, daughter of Thomas Clarell and Matilda Montgomery, on 7 February 1426 at Aldwark, Yorkshire, North Riding, England^G, in a clandestine marriage.² He died before 1466.¹

     Margaret Clarell was born circa 1397 at Aldwark, Yorkshire, North Riding, England^G.¹ She is the daughter of Thomas Clarell and Matilda Montgomery.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Robert Waterton. She married, firstly, Sir John Fitzwilliam, son of Sir John Fitzwilliam and Eleanor Green.² She married, thirdly, William Gascoigne, son of William Gascoigne and Joan Wyman, on 7 February 1426 at Aldwark, Yorkshire, North Riding, England^G, in a clandestine marriage.³
     Her married name became Fitzwilliam.² Her married name became Waterton. From 7 February 1426, her married name became Gascoigne.¹ She also had three other sons and five daughters by her third husband.³

     William Gascoigne was born circa 1366 at Harewood, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of William Gascoigne and Elizabeth Mowbray.¹ He married Joan Wyman, daughter of Henry Wyman and Agnes de Barden, circa 1396 at Harewood, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He died on 28 March 1422.¹

     Joan Wyman was born circa 1370 at Yorkshire, England^G.¹ She is the daughter of Henry Wyman and Agnes de Barden.¹ She married William Gascoigne, son of William Gascoigne and Elizabeth Mowbray, circa 1396 at Harewood, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
     From circa 1396, her married name became Gascoigne.¹

     Anne Gascoigne was born circa 1474 at Gawthorpe, Yorkshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Sir William Gascoigne and Lady Margaret Percy.¹ She married Sir Thomas Fairfax, son of Sir Thomas Fairfax and Elizabeth Sherburne, circa 1495.² She died in 1504 at Walton, Yorkshire, England^G.²
