     Sir Nicholas Fairfax was born in 1496 at Walton, Yorkshire, England^G.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Fairfax and Anne Gascoigne.³ He married, secondly, Jane Palmes, daughter of Guy Palmes.³ He married, firstly, Alice Harrington, daughter of Sir John Harrington.³ He died on 30 March 1571 at Walton, Yorkshire, England^G.²
     He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire.³ He lived at Gilling Castle, Walton, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Ursula Fairfax was the daughter of Sir Thomas Fairfax and Dorothy Gale.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Henry Bellasis, 1st Bt., son of Sir William Bellasis and Margaret Fairfax. She married, secondly, William Mallory.¹ She died on 25 August 1633.¹ Her will (dated 7 December 1631) was proven (by probate) on 6 June 1633.¹
     Her married name became Mallory.¹ Her married name became Bellasis.¹

     Sir Thomas Fairfax was born in 1521.¹ He was the son of Sir William Fairfax and Isabella Thwaites.¹ He married Dorothy Gale, daughter of George Gale.¹ He died on 28 January 1599/0.¹
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1571.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Yorkshire from 1586 to 1587.¹ He lived at Denton, Yorkshire, England^G.² He lived at Nun Appleton, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Dorothy Gale is the daughter of George Gale.¹ She married Sir Thomas Fairfax, son of Sir William Fairfax and Isabella Thwaites.² She married John Rokesby.² She died on 20 January 1595/96.²
