Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.¹ She married, firstly, Edward Young Buffett, son of John Buffett and Elizabeth Young, on 24 January 1883 at Norfolk Island^G.² She married, secondly, Julius Christopher Christian, son of Benjamin Claudius Christian and Eliza Quintal, on 19 December 1894 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died on 25 October 1914 at age 49 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.^1,3
     From 24 January 1883, her married name became Buffett.² From 19 December 1894, her married name became Christian.²

     William Francis Quintal was born on 1 November 1866 at Norfolk Island^G.² He was the son of John T. Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.³ He married Josephine Billings on 12 September 1904 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹ He died on 23 June 1947 at age 80.¹
     Circa 1904 his name was legally changed to William Francis Quintall.¹

     Dillon Archibald Quintal was born on 2 November 1868 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of John T. Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.¹ He died at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹
     Dillon Archibald Quintal usually went by his middle name of Archibald.²

Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.¹ She was baptised on 17 September 1871 at Church of England, Norfolk Island.³ She married Percy Augustus Quintal, son of John Quintal and Dinah Evans, on 17 June 1896 at Norfolk Island^G.³ She died on 5 June 1956 at age 84 at Norfolk Island^G.³ She was buried on 6 June 1956 at Kingston Cemetery, Norfolk Island^G.³

     Esther Linda Quintal was born on 14 June 1873 at Norfolk Island^G.² She was the daughter of John T. Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.¹ She married Frederick Richmond Young, son of George Martin Frederick Young and Mary Evans, on 27 November 1890 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died circa 26 April 1901 at Thames, New Zealand^G.³ She was buried on 29 April 1901 at Thames Cemetery, Thames, New Zealand.³
     From 27 November 1890, her married name became Young.²

     Reuben Nobbs Quintal was born on 24 September 1876 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of John T. Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.¹ He died on 20 May 1919 at age 42 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Frances Augusta Quintal was born on 2 April 1878 at Norfolk Island^G.² She is the daughter of John T. Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs.¹ She married Henry Quintal, son of Cornelius Quintal and Ellen Amelia Moore, on 7 May 1896 at Norfolk Island^G.²

     Edward Young Buffett was born on 23 May 1860 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of John Buffett and Elizabeth Young.² He married unknown (?) at Hawaii, U.S.A.^G.² He married Alice Bertha Quintal, daughter of John T. Quintal and Jane Agnes Nobbs, on 24 January 1883 at Norfolk Island^G.² He died on 7 September 1893 at age 33 at Queensland, Australia.³
     Traditionally, he was supposed to have been drowned while pearl diving in the Torres Straits in Sep 1893, aged 32. This story is disputed. He is thought to have taken up a pearl diving contract when his wife ran off with another man, but told his parents that he would not return. Reportedly, he settled in Hawaii and was a seaman on the Pacific route ships. He later visited his parents one time, and indicated that he was going to America to start a new life.²
