He was killed in a freak accident when a rope he had coiled about his shoulder while riding a horse became entangled in the horse’s legs. The boy was thrown and the rope which wrapped itself around his shoulders and neck, and around the horse’s neck, strangled the boy while dragging his body for miles.1
