Robert Molesworth, 1st Viscount Molesworth of Swords1 
He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1679.2 He was Envoy to Denmark between 1689 and 1692.2 On 7 May 1689 he was attainted by King James II’s Irish Parliament as a Williamite.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Camelford between 1695 and 1698.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dublin [Ireland] between 1695 and 1699.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] between 1702 and 1713.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Swords [Ireland] between 1703 and 1714.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lostwithiel from 1705 to 1706.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Retford between 1706 and 1708.2 He was Commissioner of Trade and Plantations from 1714 to 1715.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1715.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Michael between 1715 and 1722.2 He was created 1st Viscount Molesworth of Swords, co. Dublin [Ireland] on 16 July 1716.1 He was created 1st Lord Molesworth, Baron of Philipstown, in King’s County [Ireland] on 16 July 1716.3 He had seven other children.2
