Elihu Yale1 
Elihu Yale was born on 5 April 1649 at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.2 He was the son of David Yale and Ursula Knight.2 He died on 8 July 1721 at age 72.2
He was the benefactor of Yale University.3 He held the office of Governor of Fort St. George, Madras from 8 August 1684 to 26 January 1685.1
