     Laura Miller Surles was born on 13 February 1858 at Fayetteville, North Carolina, U.S.A.² She married Hon. James Dunsmuir, son of Robert Dunsmuir and Joan Olive White, on 5 July 1876 at Old Sardis Church, Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina, U.S.A.^G.¹ She died in August 1937 at age 79 at Cowichan, British Columbia, Canada.²
     From 5 July 1876, her married name became Dunsmuir.¹

     Evelyn Mary Paynter was born after 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Samuel Paynter.¹ She married Malcolm George Archibald, son of Sir William Frederick Alphonse Archibald and Florence Wallroth, on 28 January 1904.¹ She died on 24 July 1950 at England.¹
     From 28 January 1904, her married name became Archibald.¹

     Sir William Frederick Alphonse Archibald was born on 17 May 1846 at England.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Dickson Archibald and Sarah Smith.¹ He married Florence Wallroth, daughter of Charles William Herman Wallroth, on 9 January 1873.¹ He died on 31 March 1922 at age 75 at England.¹
